There are still some of Corpse Party’s trademark “bad ends” to obtain in this game, but you won’t get them from the generic spirits. A feast for mystery fanatics, gore-hounds, and horror fans alike, Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou shows a sobering look at redemption, sacrifice, and how the past is always right behind, sometimes a little too close for comfort. As is customary among many high school students, they perform a sort of ritual for them to remain friends forever, using small paper charms shaped like dolls. They’re generic, they show up too often to seem menacing (and instead come off as more of a pain), and the game just ends with you dying if you get hurt enough times.
